Customers in the Allegheny Power and Delmarva Power service areas in Maryland can also benefit from electric choice
If you live in the Allegheny Power and Delmarva Power service areas, you may have received mail from Constellation Electric over the last couple of weeks. Last month, Constellation Electric announced the expansion of residential electricity supply, which is now available to a total of 1.9 million residential customers in Maryland served by the major distribution utilities – BGE, Pepco, Allegheny Power, and Delmarva Power.
With the offer extending through Friday, October 15, customers in both service areas will receive a gift card to a large retail store for choosing Constellation Electric. Customers selecting the two-year options will receive a $75 gift card and those selecting the one-year options will receive a $50 gift card. Depending on the service area, different plans and savings opportunities are available.
Customers in the Delmarva Power service area can choose from two plans to save on electricity:
• A one-year fixed price option delivering an estimated savings of 12 percent compared to the utility’s current weighted average price of Standard Offer Service electricity
• A two-year fixed price option delivering an estimated savings of 13 percent compared to the utility’s current weighted average price of Standard Offer Service electricity
Customers in the Allegheny Power service area can choose from two plans to save on electricity:
• A one-year fixed price option delivering an estimated savings of 7 percent compared to the utility’s current weighted average price of Standard Offer Service electricity (including transmission)
• A two-year fixed price option delivering an estimated savings of 9 percent compared to the utility’s current weighted average price of Standard Offer Service electricity (including transmission)
For residents that decide to pursue electric choice, here’s what you can expect from choosing Constellation Electric:
