Give Thanks & Conserve Cooking Energy

Thanksgiving_Blog_Image

To show our appreciation and help kick off the holiday season, here are a few Turkey Day Tips to help you conserve cooking energy:*

  • Use glass or ceramic dishes when cooking side dishes to help optimize your oven’s energy efficiency.
  • Check your oven dishes through the glass window and keep the oven door closed as much as possible. Opening the door can waste up to 25 percent of your oven’s heat, and increase its demand for energy to reheat.
  • Cook several items in the oven at the same time, as long as there is enough room for the heat to circulate.
  • If your oven is electric and has a good seal, conserve energy by turning off the heat several minutes before food is fully cooked and use the stored heat inside to finish cooking

We are proud to serve our customers’ energy needs every day.

We wish you and your family a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
